We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst - Customer, Advisory & Comms (6 Month - FTC) to join the Digital and Data function to help deliver key business initiatives, continuous improvement projects and strategic objectives using technology, leveraging the significant investments being made across the organisation. This role will work within the Demand Management lifecycle as well as in the Project Lifecycle, performing the function of a Business Analyst. We're offering up to £68,000 DOE, along with flexible working although we do expect you to travel to relevant offices when necessary.
About the role:
The role will report into the Product Owner, you'll be responsible for working in the Digital and Data function to help deliver key business initiatives, continuous improvement projects and strategic objectives using technology, leveraging the significant investments being made across the organisation. This position will mainly focus on developing and improving our internal portal "Connect", along with business requirements and processes for applying/using technology to satisfy business needs. As a business-facing role, the individual must be comfortable dealing with back-office personnel and senior stakeholders both within the business and the technology functions.
You Will :
- Support the Data & Intelligence team by obtaining confirmation and clarity of business requirements for data visualisations/dashboards being developed, where required
- Develop and own user stories and acceptance criteria for all agile development.
- Support backlog refinement and lead backlog refinement when required.
- Design and specify workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on internal stakeholder requirements
- Develop as-is and to-be process maps and use industry recognised process improvement techniques, such as Six Sigma, to identify and propose opportunities for improving processes
What you will bring to the role:
- Strong stakeholder management & communication skills, able to tell a story with the data
- Good understanding of Microsoft Azure platform and associated technologies
- Knowledge and application of UML, Use Cases, User Stories, Business Process Modelling, BPMN and Change Management
- Experience of managing stakeholders at all levels of seniority and facilitate workshop to gather required information
- Used to working within agile environments within large scale transformation projects
- Ability to work with business stakeholders and software vendors to identify potential solutions to meet business requirements
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
