Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Capital Manager to join our team based in the Midlands & East. The salary on offer is from £48,000 - £53,000 with annual car allowance, and eligibility for our annual 10% bonus.

This will be a hybrid role, with your time spent working from home and out on sites.

The Senior Capital Manager (SCM) will manage an extensive programme of projects from inception to successful delivery as part of the NHSPS Programme of work. The candidate will be accountable for overall success of project delivery (from initial project strategy including the review of Real Estate options, through design, procurement, construction oversight and project close out).

This role will oversee ongoing projects and help initiate new projects in support of NHSPS business goals and objectives. The SCM will typically oversee locally procured Project Managers from a list of NHSPS approved companies in the provision of programme planning, budgeting, and input into the Business Case. The SCM will subsequently monitor and ensure the work scope and other related operational policies and procedures are adhered to for their assigned projects.

Key requirements:

  • Degree level education in a relevant subject
  • Demonstration of continuing professional development Excellent knowledge of project and programme management processes and techniques.
  • Strong technical knowledge in construction or design.
  • Understanding of real estate service lines, including asset management, project management and facilities management.
  • Understanding of real estate support functions, including
  • Significant construction project & programme management experience within a client organisation.
  • Experience of managing complex construction projects and programmes of work to the value of £8m, including delivery within time, cost and quality targets.
