NHS Property Services have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Prescribing Coordinator based anywhere in England.  The role will be predominantly homebased, however there will be travel required as part of this role, visiting the prescribing sites.

The role attracts a salary of £32,000 - £37,000 plus 27 Days Holiday. (Expenses for travel will be paid in accordance with our Expense policy).

The working hours are Monday to Friday 0900-1730, however there may be times where some flexibility is required.

The Social Prescribing Coordinator will play a central role in delivering on of our key CSR programmes: social prescribing. We work with our NHS colleagues and customers to transform vacant indoor and outdoor space into vibrant community hubs. These can be used, free of charge, for voluntary and community organisations that are delivering social prescribing services for patients. About the role

The Social Prescribing Coordinator will support the wider CSR team to efficiently deliver the social prescribing programme, to generate the greatest possible social impact and value for the NHS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the CSR Managers to deliver new internal and external social prescribing sites. This includes organising meetings with key stakeholders to agree projects, liaising with construction teams to determine timelines and budgets for works, raising POs, and ensuring site are delivering in a timely and efficient manner. The coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring all project trackers are kept up to date.
  • Send out, and collect and analyse, responses for quarterly and annual data collection surveys to help determine the impact of the social prescribing programme. This data will also be used to keep track of what is happening at the sites.
  • Schedule quarterly calls with regional social prescribing user groups and the CSR team to share best practice and learnings.
  • Support new social prescribing sites to organise opening events, including sending invites to key internal stakeholders, filling in template letters for external attendees, and gathering information for comms opportunities.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders at social prescribing sites to identify any issues and pass these on to relevant members of the CSR team.
  • Gather social prescribing content for internal comms (including monthly CSR newsletter, weekly colleague update, and webinars) and external channels (including website, press, and social media).
  • Coordinator volunteering activity at social prescribing sites, identifying opportunities for our colleagues to get involved.
  • Manage the CSR inbox, replying to queries from customers and colleagues about the social prescribing programme.
  • Ensure programme compliance documents (such as RAID and RACI) are kept updated by workstream leads, and organise monthly project meetings to provide updates to the Head of CSR. This also includes taking minutes and following up on actions from the meetings.
  • Supporting the wider team on other social prescribing activity where required.

  • Data analysis experience


Desirable Criteria

  • Programme analyst experience
  • Experience in property management, facilities management or minor works role
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and delivering effectively to deadlines
  • Experience of managing finances / budget
  • Experience and understanding of voluntary and community organisations
  • Experience in the NHS and healthcare
