Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team based in Canary Wharf on a full time 12 month fixed term contract. We have a flexible work from home policy with a need to only come into the office once a month for meetings. The salary on offer is between £50,000 and £55,000.
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality and reliability of our software products. You will be involved in manual testing activities as well as contributing to the development of automated regression tests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, proficiency in automation testing tools, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience and will be comfortable testing within an Agile environment and willingness to contribute to improve quality across the development engineering department.
The Role will include -
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of software products.
Conduct manual testing of software applications, identifying and documenting defects, and tracking their resolution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Design and develop automated test scripts, using appropriate automation tools, to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
Execute automated tests and analyse test results to identify software defects and performance issues.
Participate in story refinement sessions and provide feedback to developers and business analysts regarding potential quality issues and best practices for testability.
Collaborate with the development team to define and implement software testing strategies and methodologies.
Continuously evaluate and enhance the testing process to ensure maximum test coverage and efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance and testing.
