Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager to join our team for a fixed term of 12 months, with a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 DOE.
NHS Property Services’ approach to CSR focuses on how we can protect, promote and improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities. Our vision is that our properties and our colleagues are at the centre of engaged and healthy communities, and we work on a range of programmes to support community-based health initiatives, improve population health, lessen health inequality, and ultimately reduce pressure on the NHS.
This role will work across two of our key programmes, social prescribing and volunteering.
The role will join the small social prescribing projects team that supports the wider CSR programme. The team is hard-working, driven, and passionate about improving the health of communities across England. We are looking for someone who will bring this same passion and enthusiasm, will be a real team player and get stuck in. Specifically you will:
- Support NHSPS’ 75 existing social prescribing sites, overseeing their utilisation and impact. This includes hosting regular in-person and virtual meetings with sites, coordinating the collection of impact data, providing content for comms articles, and working with NHSPS teams to solve any issues that arise
- Work with the CSR Manager to deliver new social prescribing sites, with a focus on internal areas. This includes meeting with colleagues and customers to understand requirements, liaising with construction teams to manage contractors, managing budgets and forecasts, and keeping all compliance and reporting information up to date
- Collaborate with external bodies such as the National Academy for Social Prescribing to keep on top of latest healthcare trends and information to help shape the future of NHSPS’ social prescribing programme
- Manage NHSPS’ employee volunteering programme. This includes working with existing charities to identify colleague volunteering opportunities, scoping out potential new partnerships to diversity our volunteering offering, using internal platforms to advertise opportunities to colleagues, sharing good news stories, and managing all spend and budgeting,
- Confidently present updates on CSR, social prescribing and volunteering to a range of internal and external stakeholders
Visiting social prescribing sites and meeting community groups will be essential to the role and so the successful candidate will need to be able to travel across England.
