Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Architect to join our team based nationally with flexible working. The salary on offer is up to £90,000, with up to 6% matches pension and eligibility to our annual 10% bonus. 

About the role:

The Data Architect defines the vision, strategy, and principles for the organisation’s data architecture and management. This will include defining how data (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing the organisation’s data in some way.

The Data Architect role has ownership of the entire data landscape of the organisation and will need to work with the owners of relational databases, the Content Management System (SharePoint), the data governance framework, and reporting layer to ensure consistency across disciplines.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Able to demonstrate significant experience (5+ years) in architecture design
  • Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Architecture best practices
  • Experience of cloud-based technologies, particularly Azure
  • Development of strategy and vision papers
  • Provided technological governance guidance for large projects
  • ​​​​​​​Able to demonstrate significant experience in database design and data architecture experience practices
  • Some experience designing and implementing RDBMS technologies (particularly SQL Server) and OLAP
  • Some experience with Cloud databases, especially Azure
