Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Architecture to join our Senior Leadership team in the Digital and Data function. This hybrid role will report to the Chief Information Officer, can be based nationally in England and will have a team of circa 8 people.
The salary on offer is up to £130,000 per annum depending on experience, with a car allowance and up to 10% annual performance-based bonus.
The Head of Architecture defines the architectural vision, strategy, and principles for the organisations Enterprise Architecture. This includes curating the as-is Architecture, translating the Technology Strategy into the to-be Architecture, and developing the roadmap for implementing this.
The Head of Architecture provides architectural leadership within the Digital and Data function, leads the Architecture team, and collaboratively, will help NHS Property Service (NHSPS) achieve its business outcomes. They will help the business leaders understand new and emerging technologies through summarising the costs/value of implementing any changes to the Enterprise Architecture and provide recommendations against any initiatives on how to best achieve the desired outcome whilst connecting the strategy to execution.
Members of the senior leadership team (SLT) are collectively responsible for delivering the organisational strategy and goals, as well as developing functional strategies and plans. Their remit as an NHSPS leader extends beyond their functional role and SLT are expected to fulfil a wider leadership role across the organisation, including:
- Communicating vision, strategy and setting the cultural tone of NHSPS by role-modelling and embedding values and behaviours
- Enabling collaboration across the business and removing barriers to action and delivery
- Building organisational resilience through spotting and developing talent within and beyond their own functions, attracting high calibre people to fill vacancies and retaining great people
- Leading and embedding change and other organisational initiatives
- Tackling inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement
- Embracing, adopting, and embedding technology to enable business outcomes
