We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Governance Analyst to join our team based in nationally with flexible working. The salary on offer is up to £55,0000 with 27 days annual leave and up to 6% matched pension.
This is a Data Governance focused position working within a Data Governance, Quality and Assurance function within an organisation who are on their journey to improved data maturity from reactive to become proactive and then reach optimum levels.
The Data Governance Analyst will support both Business As Usual and ad-hoc initiatives and will be responsible for defining, monitoring, reporting, and analysing data quality across the data estate. This role will develop and coordinate data quality, monitoring processes and trackers, identify data quality issues, undertake root-cause analysis, recommend permanent solutions, take a lead on monitoring the Data Steering Groups, and coordinate actions coming out of the Data Governance Committee.
To help succeed in this role, it is desirable to have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in evaluating and developing data governance plans and policies including developing processes for ensuring accountability for and ownership of data assets, defining trust models, mapping decision rights to sources.
- Experience in defining/identifying data stewards and decision makers
- Basic SQL - ability to read and understand the concepts
- Knowledge of data management and data governance processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement
- Strong presentation skills.
