Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Planner to join our team based in London with flexible working. The salary on offer is from £60,000 with £4000 car allowance and up to 6% matched pension. 

You will help support the Development and Planning Director in the provision of development advice across our substantial and diverse estate across England. The focus of your role will be supporting the work of the Development and Planning Director who reports to Director of Asset Management. To develop and maintain a process for delivering development opportunities across the company.

Making more effective use of the health estate and supporting strategies to reconfigure healthcare services and improve the quality of care, delivers value, housing targets and ensure that the estate is managed sustainably and contributes to carbon reduction targets.

Your role within the property development team will help ensure that development work across our company is undertaken on a consistent basis within a clear framework to achieve successful outcomes that support our asset management workstreams. You will also be responsible for raising the profile of development activities throughout the company, improving corporate understanding of this specialist area.

You will develop and maintain a company-wide approach to take development opportunities forward across England. You will set appropriate standards and ensure that a consistent approach to delivering successful development outcomes at a national level is maintained.


As a Healthcare Planner, you must be a fully qualified with experience in the following areas: -

  • The ability to effectively manage and engage with consultants
  • must be experienced with NHS development regulations. This will include the Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements, Department of Health Building Notes (HBNs) and Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs) and statutory regulations.
  • Review current facilities and identify non-compliant areas
  • Collate current and future clinical activity data
  • Produce schedules of accommodation for expansion or reprovision of healthcare facilities
  • Produce service briefing sheets/clinical design brief for design team
