Job Description
We have a great opportunity for a General Assistant to join our team based in Sunderland - Riverview Health Centre. The working hours are part time, 17.5 hours per week, 06.00-09.30am Monday - Friday.
The salary on offer is £18,710.28 per annum. (Pro rata for part time).
Please note, this is a 6 months fixed term contract.

This role will deliver general assistant services to the required standard and specification; providing the highest standards of service delivery and working practices. Ensure open, effective communication.
The duties involved are:
Caretaking duties
Locking of premises
Completing specialised cleaning duties, including internal glass, laundry, clearing of drains
Handyperson tasks include use of screwdrivers, spanners, sockets, Allen keys etc to remove radiator covers, guards, light fittings, vent grills
Ensure the grounds, pathways entrances are clear, and tidy, including moving snow and light gritting
Use of machinery and tools
Sort and distribution of mail
Preparing rooms and clinics for meetings
Waste disposal
Keeping timely records of meter readings, medical gases, fire alarm testing
Meal trolleys, Legionella’s,
No formal qualifications are required, but it is preferred that you have knowledge of local building layout, equipment requirements, and manual handling. We would also prefer applications from candidates who have knowledge of COSHH and cleaning procedures, Manual handling and Health and safety and infection control principles. As well as experience of working in a customer focused environment.
You will also require a clean drivers license for this role.
