Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst - Data to join our team on a 12 month FTC. The team is based in nationally and the salary on offer is up to £65,000 with eligibility for the annual 10% bonus.
This role is responsible for working in the Technology Services directorate to help deliver key data initiatives and strategic objectives using data and technology, leveraging the significant investments being made across the organisation.
You will work within the Demand Management lifecycle as well as in the Project Lifecycle, performing the function of a Business Analyst with a focus on the Data Initiatives Programme deliverables.
You will need to work closely across Technology Services and business teams to support delivery within the following areas: Architecture, Data Governance & Quality, Reporting & Analytics and Data Culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with business/data/technical/functional leads to document and prioritise requirements to transform requirements into fit-for-purpose solution designs for implementation
- Elicit requirements and their accurate prioritisation using interviews, data/document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, system analysis
- Develop, own and obtain business sign-off of the Functional and Non-Functional Requirements Specifications
- Liaise with project teams/workstream leads to communicate business priorities, translate business requirements into technical requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
- Negotiate innovative solutions that satisfy data needs, are consistent with architectural guidelines, and conform to security standards
