We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Analyst (People) to join our People Digital Strategy Programme team who are on their journey of migrating from and consolidating existing core systems /data to new systems /platforms. This role will also often identify, recommend and undertake in-depth explorative data analyses to identify interesting trends and actionable insights which can help the business in making data driven decisions and driving operational performance.


About the role: 

The role will report into the Data Architect,  you'll be embarking on several data readiness activities. These data readiness activities will involve analysis to cleanse and improve the current state of the data and other Data quality related issues like,  Data Modelling, Data Lineage, Classification of data, Standardisation of Reference and Master Data across systems. You'll get to work very closely with Architects across the Digital & Data team, whilst also collaborating with other key stakeholders in different business areas this role is a very impactful with a wide scope. 


You Will 

  • Analyse large volumes of complex data throughout the entire data lifecycle and identify issues and opportunities
  • Tailor the message for different stakeholders (technology / business)
  • Carry out root-cause analysis for data errors, trend analysis, gap analysis and impact analysis on various datasets and make recommendations where necessary
  • Understand and map key data requirements from project stakeholders and wider business stakeholders.
  • Define and put in place data quality metrics and controls across the operational data systems to monitor data quality


What you will bring to the role:

  • Strong stakeholder management & communication skills, able to tell a story with the data 
  • Advanced Excel & SQL - ability to read , write and execute and understand the key concepts
  • Broad understanding of business operations and governance/legal frameworks
  • Experience of Business Intelligence tools e.g Power BI  for Reporting and Visualization
  • Experience working within People Team environment and understanding people data. (desired but not essential)
