We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our team based nationally with flexible working on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract. The salary on offer is up to £61,000 with 6% matched pension and 10% performance based bonus.
About the role:
We are looking for a Digital Business Analyst with a background in implementation and management of internal colleague and external communications platforms. The role will have a strong focus on the discovery process that will enable driving change to our internal colleague channels, with some support around external channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering solutions that enhance internal communications and collaboration from initial discovery, tool selection and delivery.
The role will mainly focus on developing and managing business requirements, processes and recommended solutions for applying/ using technology to satisfy business needs. As a business facing role, the individual must have the ability to take the lead, and to act autonomously, and confident in working with a wide range of stakeholder groups, senior stakeholders both within the business and technology functions.
You will:
- Have experience with working with internal colleague engagement platforms, content management systems, and apply user experience best practices. Knowledge of Microsoft internal colleague engagement applications would be a bonus
- Autonomously, lead discovery using appropriate tooling relevant to each stage
- Collaborate with internal customers to document and prioritise business requirements, whilst also working with Business Relationship Managers, Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Architecture to transform these requirements into fit-for-purpose solution designs for implementation
- Elicit requirements and their accurate prioritisation using interviews, document analysis, discovery and requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis and task and workflow analysis.
- Negotiate innovative business solutions that satisfy customer needs, are consistent with architectural guidelines, and conform to security standards
- Prepare and deliver informative, well organised presentations and contribute to the business case and work with business stakeholders and software vendors to identify potential solutions mapped back to prioritized requirements
- Develop as-is and to-be process maps, business requirements documentation to inform solution design/tool selection and use industry recognised process improvement techniques such as Six Sigma, to identify and propose opportunities for improving processes.
What you will bring to the role:
- Experience with implementation of internal colleague engagement platforms/content management systems and application of user experience best practices
- Experience of managing stakeholders at all levels of seniority and facilitation of workshops to gather required information
- Strong analytical and technical experience with the ability to translate complex journeys and data into actionable and prioritised requirements
- Ability to confidently distil, analyse existing data flows (as-is) and define (to-be) and ability to map requirements against technology capabilities
- Producing and managing clear and qualified requirements specification documents from undefined and unstructured information and documenting logical as is and to be processes
- Significant experience with Microsoft applications including Viso, Whiteboard
- Integration / interface specification writing and experience of Microsoft Azure platform and associated technologies
- Application of UML, Use Cases, User Stories, Business Process Modelling, BPMN and Change management
