Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an assistant surveyor to join our team! The salary on offer is up to £29,000 per annum and there is significant APC support available. 

About the role: 

NHS Property Services are looking for an Assistant Surveyor to support us in achieving its aims of becoming the Estates partner of choice for the NHS.

The successful candidate will join the Advisory Services Team in one of our departments and will work across the whole of the function. The primary role will be to work with Advisory Services colleagues to deliver key company objectives. In doing this, you will be involved in a variety of workstreams, including Landlord & Tenant, Development, Leasing, Letting, Acquisitions, Disposals, & Planning. To enable delivery of excellent customer service you will be supported in the process for RICS Assessment of Professional Competence through to final assessment.

You will

  • Be provided full APC support with an assigned supervisor and counsellor 
  • Attend quarterly sign off meetings and 6 monthly supervisor counsellor reviews.
  • Be able to attend organised CPD Events, mock interviews and Case Study support.
  • Develop skills and experience increasing your mandatory, core and technical skills required for the APC final assessment.

What you will bring to the role:


  • Candidates to be enrolled & 12 months + into the assessment of professional competence. (APC)
  • Previous experience or work experience in a private/public sector role required
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation, current relevant topics. An understanding of the current market conditions,
  • Knowledge of methods of valuation
