Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Town Planner to join our team based in London with a salary starting from £45,000 DOE plus a 10% performance based bonus.

About the role:

The role is key in the provision of town planning advice across the NHSPS estate, maintaining the delivery of day-to-day town planning activities. As such we are seeking an experienced Town Planner who has operated in the private sector, public sector or working with Public sector customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and delivering town planning projects, promoting sites, responding to planning policy, as well as knowledge and understanding of developer contributions processes (Section 106 & CIL). The successful candidate will be key in identifying and unlocking value through the town planning system for the NHS.

You will:

  • Advise on town planning matters that affect the NHSPS and wider NHS estate
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams across the business to optimise town planning pipeline opportunities
  • Identify town planning opportunities that add value to existing and new developments
  • Deliver projects in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Engage with internal and external customers across NHS organisations
  • Support key partnerships with organisations such as local planning authorities, and NHS bodies

What you will bring to the role:

  • Chartered member of the RTPI or RICS Planning & Development (or significant relevant experience)
  • Experience working with public sector stakeholders
  • Knowledge of planning application projects, planning policy and developer contributions (Section 106 / CIL)
  • Excellent customer engagement skills
