Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Accounts Payable Assistant - GRNI to join our team based in/near Stockport, working hybrid on a 6 month fixed term contract. The salary on offer is up to £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience). 

About the role: 

Carry out financial and administrative duties to support Accounts Payable and the wider business to implement the Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) Policy. The GRNI Assistant will be accountable for aged GRNI entries utilising our financial system, Navision to reverse GRNI entries that are sitting on the balance sheet.

  • Carry out the full range of administrative and financial activity required to ensure the effective reversal of GRNI’s no longer required, utilizing the relevant financial systems and resolving issues and queries in line with agreed policies and procedures
  • Provide clear, supportive, and accurate advice on GRNI policies and procedures, to ensure an understanding of the service and process to follow for prompt reversal of GRNI’s on the balance sheets
  • Provide analysis when requested using excel ensuring source data has been checked and is accurate before submitting to internal stakeholders
  • Liaising with our internal stakeholders when information is missing/inaccurate to enable us to make informed decisions
  • Support Management with the tracking of clearing GRNI items on the GRNI tracker.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel. Knowledge of intermediate including Vlook-up/ Xlook-up and pivot tables
  • Basic knowledge of financial controls.
  • Customer focused with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, showing the ability to meet the needs of our internal customers.
  • Results focused with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, deliver to strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirements.
