Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Catering Assistant to join our team based Market Harborough  -  St Lukes Hospital.

  • Hours of Work- 25.08 hours per week based on a 6 week rota on the below shift pattern.
  • Week- 1 Monday 10am-7pm, Tuesday 7am-2pm, Saturday 12pm-7pm & Sunday 10am-7pm.
  • Week 2 Wednesday 12pm-7pm, Thursday 10am-7pm, Friday 7am-2pm.
  • Week 3 Monday 12pm-7pm, Tuesday 10am-7pm, Saturday 7am-2pm & Sunday 12pm-7pm.
  • Week 4 Wednesday 7am-2pm, Thursday 10am-7pm, & Friday 12pm-7pm.
  • Week 5 Monday 7am-2pm, Tuesday 12pm-7pm, Saturday 10am-7pm & Saturday 7am-2pm.
  • Week 6 Wednesday 12pm-7pm, Thursday 7am-2pm & Friday 10am-7pm.
  • Pay £11.55 per hour
  • Training will be provided
  • No DBS required.

About the role:


  • The Catering Assistant is responsible for the provision of a food and beverage service in accordance with health and safety requirements, Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) and NHS Property Services policies and procedures. 
  • Duties include, but are not limited to, food preparation, cooking, serving and presentation, cleaning of crockery, cutlery and equipment, rotation of stock, maintenance of food hygiene regulations and cash handling. 
  • No formal qualification is required as full training will be given.
