Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a CAD Lead to join our team based nationally with flexible working. The salary on offer is £70,000 with eligibility for our annual 10% bonus. This role will be predominantly working from home, however there will be the occasional need for travel to sites and offices.
Please note this is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Property & Policy, the CAD Lead will be responsible for driving forward the Virtual Estate Project in collaboration with in-house project management expertise and other stakeholders working on associated initiatives including (but not limited to) the Smarter Buildings strategy, the Digital Delivery strategy, the Data strategy and the Environment Model strategy. The VEP Lead will be required to deliver the initial phase of the Virtual Estate Project, where new CAD layers will be generated from existing infrastructure asset data held in the CAFM system; and set the foundations for a longer term aspiration to develop a Building Information Modelling (BIM) solution to support more efficient and effective management of the estate.
What you will bring to the role:
- Extensive AutoCAD experience and thorough understanding of its capabilities and other emerging technologies
- Experienced in working with stakeholders; being comfortable challenging mindsets/ways of working and influencing change
- Transition to new ways of working through effective communication and training strategy and delivery.
- Problem solving & analytical skills
- Excellent communicating, influencing & negotiating and presentation skills
- Programme and project management skills
- Good Microsoft office skills including Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint and M365 Power BI/Power Apps
- Excellent report writing skills
- Degree level education Real Estate Management or equivalent relevant qualification (desirable)
