Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Support Engineer to join our national team with a salary on offer from £38,000 - £43,000 per annum. 

Reporting to the Site Support Manager, you will be part of a small team (with assistance from vendors) responsible for physical and logical connectivity and support of 200 sites across the UK of various sizes and complexity.

This role will be majority Midlands based requiring travel to and from sites as part of the working day. It will include such tasks as site surveys for circuits, cabling, network installations, and EUC deployments, as well as relocations, decommissions, recovery, internal moves, re-fits.

This will require communicating and organising with 3rd party suppliers. Day to day BAU support and all the activities, technical, planning, organisation, execution, documentation, and administration, that it entails to provide support and services to the business.

You will:

  • Use (ITIL) ticket system to manage Incidents, Service Requests and Changes.
  • Respond to BAU incidents either directly onsite or assist remotely to ensure site & user connectivity using monitoring and configuration tools and gaining remote access via cloud portal tools, Meraki & Citrix Orchestrator.
  • Monitor via Solarwinds, Investigate, raise, resolve, record tickets attended.
  • Plan and execute responses to Service requests using Site Support Team and ITIL change processes.
  • Work with other technical teams to assist with discovery and documentation of the NHSPS estate and how our colleagues use our services.

The Successful candidate must have experience of:

  • ITIL Service Management Framework
  • Office EUC IT installations.
  • Network hardware installation into cabinets and inter cab connectivity via fibre.
  • Circuit Installation management of third parties and cabling vendors.
  • Connection Types RJ45, RJ11, Fibre LC, ST, SC
  • Fibre Modes, SM, MM.
  • Router configuration & installation.
  • Switch configuration & installation.
  • Access Point configuration & installation.
