We have a permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician – Electrical to join our team, supporting a range of NHS sites across Nottingham, Derby and Mansfield..

  • Salary: Starting from £39,000 per annum + On call allowance
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm
  • Van & tools provided
  • DBS check will be conducted; training will be provided where required

Key Responsibilities

This role will deliver a full electrical maintenance service across NHS Property Services buildings, in line with our policies, procedures, and safety standards. The role includes both electrical maintenance and occasional electrical installation tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across assigned NHS sites
  • Completing minor electrical installation works (e.g., small power installations)
  • Supporting wider facilities operations to ensure safe and compliant environments
  • Ensuring all work meets statutory and organisational standards
  • Where skilled, supporting additional general maintenance tasks

Where you’ll be

Your base hub will be Ashfield Health and Wellbeing Centre - Kirkby in Ashfield, covering the regional patch of:

  • Nottingham
  • Derby
  • Mansfield
    This is a manageable, localised region with no excessive travel.

About You

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Level 3 Electrical qualification (Installation or Maintenance) – either accepted.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance and/or installation
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • A full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Test & Inspect qualification
  • Multi‑skilled background (e.g., basic plumbing or wider building maintenance).
  • Previous facilities or estates experience (advantageous but not essential)
