We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Project and Business Change Manager to join the Energy and Environment team within the Responsible business function here at NHSPS. Core function is to embed defined processes and ensure consistent methodologies are applied for project and business change initiatives within the Energy & Environment team at NHSPS. This role is pivotal in managing central projects and driving business change to support our sustainability goals and operational excellence. We're offering up to £70k DOE, along with flexible working and an annual 10% bonus. (We're open for candidates to apply who are based in the united kingdom and open to travel when needed to London or other sites)

This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of central projects and business change initiatives within the Energy & Environment team, contributing to NHSPS’s sustainability goals and operational excellence. This role is pivotal in managing central projects and driving business change to support our sustainability goals and operational excellence


You Will :

  • Support the E&E Programme Manager to review and refine the scope, objectives and outcomes, managing related activities and deliverables of the Delivering a Greener NHS Programme
  • Identify & build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders using a personable, collaborative and organised approach.
  • Manage and track each phase of the project, from discovery and data-gathering through to supporting in producing a business case, procurement and eventual implementation.
  • Ensure comprehensive governance by preparing, managing and updating project plans, and tracking and reporting progress against them. Via Microsoft 365 and other tools, such as smartsheets.
  • Brief and involve colleagues and subject experts when needed, building a positive profile to enthuse them and ensure the project is visible and valued.
  • Support the E&E Programme Manager to organise meetings, workshops and working groups, providing useful information and input where needed.
  • Commission, delegate and chase actions and information from colleagues, managing deadlines and minimising blockages by striking a balance between constant progress and diplomacy.


What you will bring to the role:

  • Understanding of PMO assurance and governance: With experience of leading and working in a busy programme office.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, ideally with relevance to Energy, Environment or Property Management sectors.
  • Business Change Management: Strong background in business change management, with the ability to drive and implement change initiatives via the E&E project managers embedded in the Energy, Environment & Utilities focus areas.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of project managers and analysts.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Workshop facilitation experience: Ability to drive outcomes through workshop formats.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) and business change management (e.g. PROSCI, APMG).
