We have a fantastic opportunity for a Asset Decision Support Business Partner to join the FDS team. The Financial Decision Support Team provide financial analysis to support the real estate decision-making process. This is a finance-based junior business partner role responsible for providing financial support to the Advisory function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality finance partnering and reporting covering all operational areas of the Advisory business. This role will be a key contact between the Finance and Advisory functions. We're offering up to £40k DOE, along with our flexible working policy. 


About the role: 

The role will report to the Decision Support Senior Manager. It sits within the Finance Decision Support team, focusing on financial appraisal and due diligence that supports our colleagues’ decision making. The role will support in ensuring NHSPS understands, protects, and leverages financial value by providing insightful and influential analysis to assist management to drive well informed decisions, mitigating risk and realising value potential. 


You Will : 

  • Support on the delivery of monthly management accounts including commentary, risk & opportunities and rolling forecast for the Advisory business unit, including income, OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Processing of journals and supporting in the raising of purchase orders.
  • Provide guidance on operational policy, accounting treatment and reporting.
  • Support improved engagement between the Advisory team and various Finance teams within the organisation.
  • Continuously improving the suite of management reports made available to support the Advisory financial performance.
  • Critically challenging business actions and behaviours to drive improved operational and financial performance.
  • Support centrally managed elements of the company planning cycle (budgets and forecasts).


What you will bring to the role:

  • Management accounting experience
  • Able to understand and interpret financial performance information and how it relates to the financial reporting and modelling
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Professional finance related qualification/part qualification
  • Extensive knowledge of financial accounting principles and techniques
  • Possess a robust understanding of financial and activity systems (ERP) and the ability to extract, interpret and manipulate information from them
  • Proven track record of advising finance and non-finance managers and giving guidance where needed
