Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hard FM Manager to become part of our team in the Midlands Region. We are offering a starting salary of £50,000, based on experience, plus a £3,000 car allowance and the potential for a 10% annual bonus. 

While the base location is flexible, residency in the Midlands is required to accommodate travel needs. This hybrid role involves a combination of office work, remote work, and on-site visits. Please note, a driving licence is needed for this role.

About the role:

The role of the Hard FM Manager works with the regional operations management team to deliver a seamless maintenance programme (Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive), effectively managing priorities and ensuring customer satisfaction. Accountable for ensuring all work undertaken by internal and external resources is evaluated, assessed, and meets statutory regulatory compliance and legal responsibilities of the business.

Resolving technical or service problems as they arise, either directly or by assembling teams to solve those issues, agreeing escalation, communication, and closure of issues with appropriate management colleagues.  The role may be required to take a regional lead where applicable on hard FM disciplines and act as the local subject matter expert working with the central Hard FM Specialists.

Managers frequently share the same professional and technical backgrounds as their teams, and their role is to manage and coach their teams to deliver in line with targets and performance standards.   

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience and Professional/technical know how
  • Hard FM commercial experience, across a portfolio
  • Experience of line management in a busy, customer focused business across multiple disciplines
  • Experience of driving improvements to enable efficiency
  • Experience of delivering change
  • Track record of success in professional areas
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and working with contractors and acting when required to resolve unsatisfactory work
  • Working within the requirements of method statements or permit to work
  • Experience maintaining services to SFG20
  • Experience of working with a CAFM reporting system
