Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Management Office (PMO) Assurance Manager to join our team based nationally with flexible working. The salary on offer is from £60,000 (depending on experience) £3500 car allowance with eligibility for our annual 10% bonus.
About the role:
The PMO Assurance Manager ensures consistency and quality in programme and project governance across the portfolio. Reporting to the PMO Transformation Lead, this role provides governance expertise, actionable insights, team management, and troubleshooting support to enable the successful delivery of programmes and projects. The role also champions continuous improvement initiatives and works collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance governance standards and practices.
What you will bring to the role:
- Developing and maintaining project management methodologies, standards, tools and templates to support the delivery of projects
- Working collaboratively with programme/project teams to drive governance consistency and alignment across planning and controls; status reporting, risks and issues (and any escalations); financial controls and status; resource management; value realisation tracking.
- Contributing to the reporting on scheduling and compliance issues and the recommendations to management.
- Providing technical support for the team while seeking guidance from colleagues to grow knowledge of the information tracked and reports generated for project management activities.
- Leading periodic PMO review meetings with programme/project leads and documenting concerns or issues with following up actions.
- Growing and maintaining technical skills and system knowledge that support the Project Management activities.
- Ensuring that the project management office (PMO) adheres to the established standards and procedures.
- Monitoring the performance of the PMO and identifying areas for improvement.
- Developing and implementing quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure project success.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that project goals and objectives are achieved within the established timeframes and budgets.
- Ensuring programme and project deliverables progress through the proper assurance reviews (Stage Gates) in a timely manner as defined in the signed off milestone plan
